THE WHY
Why does the GV Wardrobe exist?
The GV Wardrobe is a second-hand online store, inspired by clothing-swaps, and based in Shepparton Victoria.
We have combined a love of fashion with a way to reduce our impact on the planet, by creating our own local solution to the clothing waste crisis.

We embrace the knowledge that our bodies are constantly changing, in size, shape and purpose.
We believe that we should be able to enjoy buying new items, to help us feel and look our best, in a way that is kind to our bodies, our bank accounts, and our planet.
​
In the era of 'fast-fashion' we are buying new clothes more and wearing them less.
Cheap clothing and rapidly changing styles have created an unsustainable system that is built on waste.
​
As well, the GV Wardrobe knows that we each have items in our closet that we don't or can't wear again, and so we have created a platform for all of these quality pieces to come together and to be appreciated all over again.

From our wardrobe to yours;
The GV Wardrobe is a way for us to collectively share in a higher quality of clothing at affordable prices,
to get more wear out of each item, and to enjoy a love of fashion and the experience of buying 'new'.

How does the Wardrobe work?
Buy. Contribute. Repeat - that's the concept.
Browse our beautiful online store and purchase your 'new’ items.
They will arrive in your mailbox lovingly (and sustainably) packaged, ready for you to wear and love.

When you are done with an item (whether it is a day, month or year later) you can contribute it back to the wardrobe!
And we will give you a $2 coupon for each item as a thankyou.
​
For local orders and item contributions, within the Shepparton area, we deliver and collect your items for you.
(If you are outside this area we can organise delivery/collection using Australia Post)

Then you repeat the cycle. You can spend your coupon, continue to contribute and to buy great condition items, and to be a part of The GV Wardrobe community.
